MPS VI is a rare, progressive disease caused by an enzyme deficiency.  Our son Isaac was diagnosed with this disease in October of 2005, which prompted us to form our charity.

Our mission is to raise funds to support research into innovative treatments and potential cures for MPS VI and other MPS diseases, to increase public awareness about MPS diseases, and to provide support and information to other families dealing with this devastating diagnosis.

RUN FOR ISAAC!

May 29 & 30, 2010

Ottawa, Ontario

Updates on Isaac’s health, appointments, etc.

Join us for our 5th Annual RUN FOR ISAAC! event at the Ottawa Race Weekend.  Run or Walk the 5KM, 10KM, 1/2 Marathon, or Full Marathon and support our search for a cure.

We are thrilled to report that Isaac is doing incredibly well!  Treatments are proving successful, he is growing, and thriving.  We continue to be concerned about his joints, but are hopeful our research project will have an impact on Isaac in the near future.

Isaac spent an unforgettable evening with his hero and friend, John Mayer, last night in Toronto.  I’ve never been a part of something so special.  Heartfelt thanks goes out to John for the work he does to make a difference in the world and his efforts to help us find a cure for our son.  Please read “The Heart of Life” on our blog.
